so, it is another information that I will be playing (read it as: Im going to mess up something :P)

As on Friday (ie 14) I want to test another soulion for daily data backup there will be no default shutdown that day ** 4 am (Warsaw time). In addition, around noon or afternoon I will temporarily shutdown server in order to restore that new backup ane check if everything is runnig ok (well, you are going to look if that works :P)

If everything will go beatifully, lovely without any problems then its possible that daily the backup shtudowns ** 4 am will be removed.

Im announcing that information because I want to avoid any grievances ex. my character is back for like one day because you accidentally needed to restore backup from the Thursday morning :P

If I will remind myself something else or some changes will be introduced then this post will be EDITED.

In the evening hours, website as well as the forums may be unavailable due to upgrading the server's hardware. Since some time our websites and forums weren't able to handle the users overload, and not once have became even unavailable to view. By the way, the good news is that this proves about growing popularity.

In more details, dedicated server will be upgraded to:

CPU Intel i5 750 4 x 2.6 GHz

Transfer of 2.5 TB
Bandwidth of 50 mbps

We hope that the purchase will allow you for a smoother viewing and using our websites, and ultimately will increase your comort with using them. If the new hardware doesn't meet our requirments, we still have the opportunity to return to the old one.

@EDIT: Tomorrow, ie. 24/02/2011 from about 10:00pm until 1:00am our forum and associated with it websites will be unvavailable due to transfering the data to a new server (details are shown above). We apolgise for inconvenience.

WoW and MU servers will operate during this period without distruption, relocation only includes forum and associated with it websites.

Due to a bug, so far there was no level requirements to learn Mining. Inform you that anyone who does not meet the following requirements:

Apprentice (75): Required Level: 5
Journeyman (150): Required Level: 10
Expert (225): Required Level: 20
Artisan (300): Required Level: 35
Master (375): Required Level: 50

is required to remove as soon as possible profession. I give for this 7 days. After this time, all who do not adapt will be punished with ban 31 days, and of course they will be deleted mining.

Please remember, that all sites related to HG are linked with domains: *.gamefreedom.pl or *.hellground.pl
Other domains (like *.cba.pl) are NOT related, supported or conducted by HellGround Administration.

If someone offers you a link to site on domain without *.gamefreedom.pl or *.hellground.pl and claims that this site is related to Administration, that person probably is a cheater and you can NOT trust him.

Database Cleanup.

04.07.2011 we will perform Database Cleanup.

We will delete:
- characters with lvl 1-4
- empty accounts
- empty guilds
- empty arena teams
- guilds where guild master have perm ban (with bantime before 01.05.2011)
- arena teams where team leader have perm ban (with bantime before 01.05.2011)
- accounts/characters with last login date before 01.01.2011 *
- character cleanup for perm banned characters (with bandate before 01.04.2011)
- items, pets, mails without owner

etc

Server will be OFFLINE for cleanup time.

Any chenges will be in this post without additional information.

* - characters with active permban won't be deleted (only cleanup from items etc will be performed)

Request for people having problems with high latency in the evening.

The lag time of applying, please check the connection to the server with WinMTR program and then send them to me by private message on the forum or my email address (available in my profile on the forum). These data are required by OVH to diagnose the problem.

Since today, there is a Guild Announce system introduced on our server. Only guild masters and officers are allowed to use this, despite this fact the guild must at least have 10 members. Each guild can announce their recruitment once for 2 hours (this can be changed in future).

How you can use it:
.guild ann message here
result: [Guild - NNN]: a message will appear here

Announcments are queued, so it wouldn't show straight after you type in the command. Limit of characters allowed is 65.

To disable advertising the guild announcments for your account, simply enter the command .acc gann, the same command will get them turned on again.

Therefore, advertising guild recruitments on all public channels will be prohibited since 23 September 2011 (server time).

Using the guild global announcment system for other purposes than advertising your guild recruitment will also be punished.

After “brain storm” in past few days within GMT, we have decided to introduce to the server and forum few changes.

We have tried to manage all issues using yours suggestions as a base, but problems that occured before us weren so simple to solve. However, we hope that the changes that we are now introducing will go out only for the better.

Briefly, a few words on each topic:

Amnesty – it’s a second chance to play on our server or be part of forum community
Terms:
1. All IP bans are going to be removed
2. All perm banned accounts are going to be deleted, exceptions here are accounts with ban reason “na zyczenie / for my wish” – those will be unbanned .
3. All accouns with time ban are going to be unbanned.

People who do not take your chance and break rules again will be banned again in all aspects.

Multiaccount – characters in different factions are now allowed. We do NOT require to report multiaccount anylonger.
Terms:
1. Under perm ban threat u are prohibited to use yours characters in different faction to abuse honor farming on self.
2. Other abuses, that weren’t mentioned here are also bannable – the penalty depends on GM and the offense.

Surveys – a new section on the forum.
Department intended to conduct polls and the discussion on the specific topict. In this way you will have a greater opportunity to express your “for” or “against” opinion on certain solutions (not always blizzlike) that we will try to implement into server and will affect you. Please note that not all issues will be resolved in this way – only those that can and will help us to take concrete decisions. It is worth to add that the survey will be created mainly in order to know what players think about the topic and the results will not necessarily decide the shape of changes (although with a large extent we will take them into account). Poll will be done only by members of the Administration.

LookingForGroup was made available to the public. Not only the person signed in to interface, but all players will be automatically autoinvited to the channel. Note that the channel is LookingForGroup moderated by us, while / LFG is not subject of moderation.

Failedlogin – changes.
From now on, number of attempts to enter the wrong password has been increased to 5, and ban for bad typing 5 times in a row the password has been reduced to 5 minutes.

GameMaster – changes.
Shortly and most important:
1. GameMaster, can play with own private character.
2. GameMaster, take care about own anonymousity.
3. Public gmlogs are now available, they contains GMs “work”

Donate – small changes.
Reduced prices for gifts, the introduction of the list of “contributors” / list of people who donate’d the server, it will only show: the amount the player gave and his incomplete nickname, such as Abor **** 35 zł. Such list will be updated once a week, a list is available here (click). Later, automatic gifts sending will be possible with the new panel … a few words about new panel little lower in this post.

VoteEvent – small changes.
We plan to introduce a new VotePanel for players into new PlayersPanel. We have increased the amount of toplists for voting and reduced the value of a vote-point for specific gifts. Soon we plan to implement an automatic shipment of gifts for Vote Points.

New Player’s Panel
You are now invited to test a new player panel at panelbeta.hellground.pl. All errors encountered report on the forum http://hellground.pl/hg-panel/. This is a beta version, and will be changed a lot, many new features will be implemented. After the tests, we will announce contest for the new Players Panel layout.

That’s it, most changes should be applied tonight, if not we will try to do the rest tomorrow. More precise information about the changes can be found in the individual Rules topics. However, we reserve the right to modify the terms and conditions to any of the innovation. Everything will be adjusted on an ongoing basis and the information will appear on the board.

Soon also a large hand of information about the Isle of Quel’Danas and 4th Season, so please be patient.

Today, around midnight (00:00 GMT +1) OVH will receive our permission to turn off dedicated server and replace corrupted hardware(sadly, its motherboard again). In consequences server will be offline till repair is done(we are not sure when they will do it), but should be back online at least in the morning (around 11.00 am GMT+1).

Edit 12.11.11 10:52 - As u can see, works are going to take little longer. We are rushing OVH support and that is all that we can do. What left is to wait - maybe today it will be done.

We will delete: - characters with lvl 1-4 - empty accounts - empty guilds - empty arena teams - guilds where guild master have perm ban (with bantime before 01.05.2011) - arena teams where team leader have perm ban (with bantime before 01.05.2011) - accounts/characters with last login date before 01.01.2011 * - character cleanup for perm banned characters (with bandate before 01.04.2011) - items, pets, mails without owner etc Server will be OFFLINE for cleanup time. Only guild masters and officers are allowed to use this, despite this fact the guild must at least have 10 members. Each guild can announce their recruitment once for 2 hours (this can be changed in future). How you can use it: .guild ann message here result: [Guild - NNN]: a message will appear here Announcments are queued, so it wouldn't show straight after you type in the command. Limit of characters allowed is 65. To disable advertising the guild announcments for your account, simply enter the command .acc gann, the same command will get them turned on again. Therefore, advertising guild recruitments on all public channels will be prohibited since 23 September 2011 (server time). Using the guild global announcment system for other purposes than advertising your guild recruitment will also be punished. We have tried to manage all issues using yours suggestions as a base, but problems that occured before us weren so simple to solve. However, we hope that the changes that we are now introducing will go out only for the better. Briefly, a few words on each topic: Amnesty – it’s a second chance to play on our server or be part of forum community Terms: 1. All IP bans are going to be removed 2. All perm banned accounts are going to be deleted, exceptions here are accounts with ban reason “na zyczenie / for my wish” – those will be unbanned . 3. All accouns with time ban are going to be unbanned. People who do not take your chance and break rules again will be banned again in all aspects. Multiaccount – characters in different factions are now allowed. We do NOT require to report multiaccount anylonger. Terms: 1. Under perm ban threat u are prohibited to use yours characters in different faction to abuse honor farming on self. 2. Other abuses, that weren’t mentioned here are also bannable – the penalty depends on GM and the offense. Surveys – a new section on the forum. Department intended to conduct polls and the discussion on the specific topict. In this way you will have a greater opportunity to express your “for” or “against” opinion on certain solutions (not always blizzlike) that we will try to implement into server and will affect you. Please note that not all issues will be resolved in this way – only those that can and will help us to take concrete decisions. It is worth to add that the survey will be created mainly in order to know what players think about the topic and the results will not necessarily decide the shape of changes (although with a large extent we will take them into account). Poll will be done only by members of the Administration. LookingForGroup was made available to the public. Not only the person signed in to interface, but all players will be automatically autoinvited to the channel.
